LYRIC

Virtue, a sign of all the mystery
It trends with the darkest ways, it grants me trust now as it leads
First you give me sympathy, praise be all my guilt
Praise be all the solace and the night, ya I need my fill
I’m ashamed of all the things I had to say
Ashamed of what I have become
Through the mountains, across the sidewalks, check the miles, check the vitals
The silence still remains
And embers wait for day
Fiction powers the poetry, left here in the cave
The sinners place on an empty page, I’m the last to mend the first to burn
Selfless, selfless, selfless, I’m giving in
I’ve given it all there’s nothing left for me anymore
A prophet of the (???)
Preaches the key from golden wells
These stories all have to be told, she claims they can save our souls
She’s the one who carries the flame, atop the highest mountain peak
I followed her through the rain, remove her jewels and her silver crown
Lay it down, the seed will grow
I sit with faith and pain
Made to see your gaze
The angels are here to take you away
A second coming to bring you home
This life, and floating towers, keeps following her
Through the mountains, above the earth, you’ve reached the highest point but you were never the first
Give me guilt, give me sympathy
I’ll bury it and watch it grow
Feel the mist that releases me, I believe you’re in fixture
I'll be left, dying alone
So please don’t take it all away, take it all away, take it away
There’s too much to replace, too much to gain
Just don’t take it all away, maybe I can change, maybe I can change
Aaaaooooo
Virtue is the occasional regress of my misery
I am pausing, and twisting, and turning, so infinitely amazed
