LYRIC

Once upon a time,
I needed stern spirits to clear & tolerate the noise
Once a man with heart
And a soul. but as you might relate: I favoured being numb.
What’s a man to do?
Partaking in my urge-shaped kingdom, where woes can’t surface from.
A halcyon place to be,
But afternoon light reminds me that I’ve left “me” behind.

It’s amusing that I care
And crave more time for “me”
All-in-all, I’m worse off by far.
Mumbled moral points, for artificialities
If not now, then perhaps: when…? Perhaps: when…?

Another point of view:
They ride along, fortune-favoured whetted wakefulness
Lively acts are played;
All I want is to be clouded in… in their infected wit.
I know what I’m to do…
Must find a means to ash this breathed-in blaze for good.

It’s amusing that I care
And crave more time for “me”
All-in-all, I’m worse off by far.
Mumbled moral points, for artificialities
If not now, then perhaps: when…? Perhaps: when…?
An aged question: Perhaps: when…?

My reasons for today, linger ’til tomorrow
They’ll carry out tomorrow
My artistry caches: I’ll open them up tomorrow
They’ll still be here tomorrow.
