LYRIC

The road to Glory, the path to fame
Stairway to heaven, they're all the same
It starts out smooth, your head held high
Song birds sing, a deep blue sky
Further on, you see the signs
Road gets bumpy, no more lines

What lies ahead, can only guess
A journey filled, with lots of stress
Around the bend, the sky grows dark
Vultures lurking, coyotes bark

You cross the bridge, of no return
Shield your face, as the forest burns
Lightening strikes, rain pelts down
No sign of life, it's a ghost town
Those that ventured, ahead of you
No where seen, if you only knew

There is no choice, keep trucking on
What little light, will soon be gone
Must have taken, wrong fork in road
Shouldn't have hauled, such a heavy load

Make your camp, prepare for night
Hope you don't, loose all sight
Pray tomorrow, will shed some light
Summon up, an inner might
Can you meet, the set deadline
Get to see, the holy shrine

Will you last, the entire trip?
Fly your colors, like a flagship
Might you fail, be left for dead
Best stay cool, don't loose your head

This journey's not, for faint of heart
Don't over load, you'll fall apart
The road to Glory, the path to fame
Stairway to heaven, they're all the same
