LYRIC

Oh no, fall asters
Coming into bloom.
Purple yellow harbingers,
Seems like they're here too soon.

Out my window to the east,
Before the morning light,
Comes Orion with his beast,
Looking for a fight.

All summer long I just drifted by,
Living in a dream.
Those summer days seemed like they'd never end,
As I floated downstream.

What's this silver thread,
Falling from the sky?
Leather canyon crevasses
At the corner of my eye?

Here you are in front of me with your
Heart in your hand.
Soon I'll leave my summer home
For a frozen land.

I tell myself just let go,
The time is coming near.
I tell myself embrace the change,
And don't resist the fear.

Oh no, fall asters.
