LYRIC

I was born in a metropolis
But it soon all burned to the ground
There were ashes burning at my feet
And a bible held in my hand

But however hard i tried i couldn't laugh
Felt like the sky had fallen down on me at last

So i left to find another life, but it always felt so alone
Even though the time i spent was wise, i would never have felt at home

But however hard i tried i couldn't laugh
Felt like the sky had fallen down on me at last

And i asked
What kind of god would wish this on anyone, on anyone?
What kind of god inflicts this on everyone, on everyone?

I was born in a metropolis
But it soon all burned to the ground
And the air i breathed was thick with smoke
And the sunlight was blocked by clouds

(Woah) And i tore id down, to save all of our souls
(woah) Cus' no faiths that strong.
