Apparitions taunt with a flicker of light
The roof shakes free in the wind, exposing the blanket of night

A melody catches my ear
Something so familar, but so very new
How long will I continue to try to make sense of it all

In the blink of an eye, I'm back where I started
Before I can catch my breath, I'm yanked away

The vines wrap around and the earth is feed
I become one with the mother
Nature takes back what is bleed
I begin to feel alive again

Senseless, I lose all thought

Returned to my body
I feel indifferently
A sense of purpose reveals itself to me
