Ghost Town By Jason Hoberg

(I never push the blame I accept responsibility for my own shame but this game it seems that everything has changed)

Hey you who put the gun in my hand
You keep on running around hiding behind the crown and that’s allowed
You’re so proud with all your beat downs and no back downs all in gowns you’re so loud
But these ghost towns wear frowns and everybody’s down
And everybody here has been beaten to the ground
Waiting for the swings to come around waiting for the turn around
It seems a revolution aint going down
Long live the revolution there must be some solution
For peoples disillusion and confusion
But you with the pen in your hand you keep on letting us down
Letting us run around you’re running us down you’re running around and around
I keep my ear to the ground always listening for the sound but the sound just aint coming down
I look around I get a profound sense that we’re the clowns we wear the frowns
In this ghost town everybody’s down everybody we wears a frown

In this Ghost Town
Feels like everybody’s down
In this Ghost Town
Feels like everybody frowns
In this Ghost Town
Feels like everybody’s down
In this Ghost Town
Feels like everybody wears a frown

You with the smirk on your face
You’ve been working the place with no regard for any other from the human race
The suckers fall for grace and that’s your base a warm embrace
To keep the superficial monkeys all in place
Their thoughts you lace don’t even see a trace
When anybody makes a case you’re sure to disgrace and replace their argument in lower case
And you know what brings these suckers down in these ghost towns where they’re all wearing frowns
This drip feed of dread trickles down and keeps the suckers on the ground
And that same old merry go round
Around and around and around
In these ghost towns where everybody wears a frown
